Event Site

For this activity, I created proposal, site map, wireframe, and style guide to build web design strategy and created an event site. The goal of this activity is to complete all design and development phases for a basic themed commerce page.

Proposal

GOALS

The goal of this project is to design an event site for Ultra Europe festival that is one of the biggest EDM and house music festival on the continent. The festival lays on a programme of epic stadium shows, beach kickbacks and full-throttle boat parties. As a web strategist, I would make intuitive design considering User Interface by creating easy navigation and layout for both web and mobile users. With attractive and styled elements supporting Ultra Europe festival, I would like to bring excitement and convenience for users to enjoy the festival.

• Serves the mobile user

• Styled elements supporting topic

• Page for ticket/pass purchase or donations

• Pertinent contact information/Event location/dates

• Links to relevant and appropriate social media outlets

STRATEGY

• Using colorful colors and styled elements to attract users.

• Using high quality photos of festivals and people to appeal audience’s emotion and emphasize festival.

• Creating simple layouts and navigations of the website to make more intuitive and simplify design.

• Incorporation of graphics, images, photos, and fonts to enhance visual interest to make visitors easy to enjoy the site.

• Development of main pages and functionality:

• Home – Provide event location, dates, and contact information with styled elements.

• Tickets – Page for buy tickets

NEXT STEPS

In order to get started, I would construct Site Map, Wireframe, and Style Guide to set outline of the website. Identifying Ultra festival's purpose and target audience would be needed. They will provide proper direction to start building the web site. Ultra Europe festival can expect styled and intuitive design with high quality photos to attract people’s attention and provide useful information to find easily. The information I still need is the festival's scale.

• I'm proud of creating this site because I tried to achieve some things that I wrote in the proposal. Even though it is my first time to create the festival website, I think I made intuitive design for the website.

• Yes, I understand. I'll leverage this site by developing visual elements and user experiences for both web and mobile environment.

1. What area of the site is strongest? Why?

• The strongest area of my site would be tickets page because I put various emphasized colors each tickets for users to find important information easily.

1. What area do you feel needs the most work? Why?

• I think I need the most work for layout design because I would like to develop layout design to be more simple and clear.
