I received low match rate around 30% through JobScan before revising my resume. However, after tailoring my resume, I could reach 83% match rate. The first thing that I revised was adding measurable results in my resume. I used accurate numbers for this part, for example, "led a media team of 7 people". The second thing that I revised was adjusting my hard skills of my resume by comparing with the job description that I would like to apply. I had to put some keywords as my hard skills such as Brand, Photoshop, Indesign, and Typography. For them, I separated my skills with two section for skills and tools. After then, I added Photoshop and Indesign in the section of tools and added Typography and Brand in the section of skills. The third thing that I revised was adding soft skills. For them, I decided to create my profile summary and put some soft skills in it. The keywords that I needed to add for soft skills were passion, innovative, inspire, and driven. Using those keywords, I created my profile summary in one sentence "A passionate multimedia professional, that specializes in developing memorable brand experiences that inspire audiences, driven by innovative designs and creative strategies." Also, I added my profile title "multimedia designer" on the profile summary. Through these processes, I could reach 83% match rate for my resume and it would increase my chances of being seen by a recruiter.
